As I had already taken images outside using the sunlight to create highlights and shadows, I wanted to try using indoor lighting. I kept my aperture small because I wanted the depth of field but I had to change the ISO as the location was quite dark. I had to keep the shutter speed quite fast, as there was a lot of movement happening in the location. I like the way that the light is bouncing off different parts of the image and that it creates shadows and highlights.
Natural Lighting

For this photo I wanted to use the light from the sun to highlight Lilli’s hair. I like the colours that are in the image, and I feel like the subject stands out from the background quite well due to this. I focused on aperture when taking the image because I wanted the depth of field in the image so that you would focus on the subject. Although I could have filled the frame better, I like that she is looking into the empty space as I feel like this almost justifies the way that she has been framed in the image.
